Most participants will choose a two-city program experience, which includes pre-semester language immersion in Cuenca, Ecuador, followed by a semester of coursework in Santiago de Chile. Living arrangements in both cities are provided by local host families, which allow you to practice your Spanish and to gain unique insight into Latin American culture and lifestyles.
Hosts are carefully screened and represent all walks of life: some are families with children, some are retired couples, some are divorced or single parents, some are young professionals. Special efforts made to place students based on personal preferences. Continental breakfast and evening meals are included in the program fee when you live with a host.
