What You Need to Know

Beijing is the fascinating political and administrative center of China. You’ll revel in its deep and dramatic history, and marvel at its modern face and explosive growth. Beijing is an ideal place from which to study both the nation’s past and the enormous changes and pressures that have transformed it into the fastest-growing economy on the globe.

Designed for both graduate and undergraduate students, the academic program features field study with on-site lectures in Beijing and other cities, courses taught in English that enroll both SU program students and Tsinghua students proficient in English, plus language study at all levels. Students with oral and written fluency in Mandarin may request enrollment in regular Tsinghua classes.

The Campus

SU in Beijing students are fully integrated into campus life. You’ll live in Tsinghua's modern residence halls and have access to the same facilities as regular students, including library, dining halls, computers, and recreational centers.
